I started using it for short distance trips, but the problem is that in my city there's zero bicycle infrastructure so you often have to choose between riding on the sidewalk or suicide by car. I have a car but I only use it for going to the supermarket or when I have to be somewhere really early or really late, for commuting to the university I just take the train.
