I remember the legendary story of the Serbian ambassador in America. When W took office, he had a formal obligation to host each ambassador for some 5-10 minutes to talk and get to know each other. So after 5 minutes he ended the talks with the German and French ambassadors. However, the Serbian ambassador came to the reception in cowboy boots and with a cowboy hat. He talked to the Serbian ambassador for over half an hour because W was overjoyed to finally have someone to talk to about burgers and American football.
