MACACOBROS GET IN HERE

Can any brazilbros tell me about what happens here? Are there many beautiful birds and other animals? Are they okay? Is the forest growing or shrinking? If it is shrinking what is government doing about it?

there is where people live
yes
they are okay
shrinking very slowly
strict anti deforestation laws

Mata Atlantica has been shrinking since the European colonizers arrived.
Worth reminding that illegal logging has very often, to this day, Europeans as the final consumers.

Pombero lives there

Mata Atlântica has mostly disappeared. But it's beautiful where it remains.

Keeper of the forest, he's very angry because of all the deforestation
That's kurupi

Exceptionally dank flora.
It's very endangered, very little remains since it happens to be where the entire population lives.
But it doesn't produce le magic oxygen like the amazon, so gringos drip-fed by big media don't really care.

Don't. 67% of Brazilian territory is original forest

How often do they attack people? Does anyone die?
It's a caiman, which apparently isn't a crocodile or an alligator, but it is closely related to an alligator. I don't know the differences either.

they're not very fast so almost never. you'd be mroe fucked against snakes and spiders

extremele rare for them to attack people, but in the amazon its probably a thing.
