remembering foreign words is hard, how do you guys do it? Im already trying flash cards and repeating them in my head

I create little stories or things to mentally associate with different words. For example, for the Hebrew word כדור /ka'dur/, "ball", I imagine how a rubber ball bounces upwards (the stress is on the second syllable) and imagine it making a "ka-DOOR" noise.

New challenge

>Easy
My toe hurts.
Call the police!
What time is it in China?

>Medium
After sunset, we'll go outside to look at the stars.
You already know the answer to that question; why are you asking me again?
Good afternoon, my name is John, and I'm going to teach you how to file your taxes.

>Hard
When the fishermen came back to shore, their wives saw that the men had been quite unlucky, and they all knew that they'd be eating turnips for dinner again.
Although symbols such as a pitchfork and cloven hooves are commonly associated with Satan, these derive entirely from folklore and popular culture, rather than from the Bible.
Although many people, including a few scholars, believe that the plays attributed to William Shakespeare were actually written by someone else, I find that idea to be both unsupported by the available evidence and bigoted against the common people of England.

>My toe hurts.
Il dito del piede mi fa male.
>Call the police!
Chiama la polizia!
>What time is it in China?
Che ore sono in Cina?

>After sunset, we'll go outside to look at the stars.
>You already know the answer to that question; why are you asking me again?
>Good afternoon, my name is John, and I'm going to teach you how to file your taxes.
Buon pomeriggio, mi chiamo Gian, e ti insegno a archiviare le tasse.

"mio" is redundant

>Dopo il tramonto, andremo fuori per guardare
"andremo" (future) --> you're planning (or ordering); "andiamo" (present) --> you're announcing your intentions
"per guardare" --> you're stating a purpose; "a guardare", you're announcing what to do

--> correct but heavily accented on "chiedere" action
"Perché me lo chiedi di nuovo?" --> correct

"le loro mogli", as moglie is feminine and true marriage only happens between a man(male(male))) and a woman(female(female)))
"gli uomini" --> unnecessary, because "sfortunati" is masculine and it can only refers to the fishermen. You know, masculine/feminine/singular/plural can let you wipe out ambiguities without repeating subjects/pronouns
"sapevano che" --> imperfect is not good; also, "sapere" is somewhat dialect; better "hanno capito che"
"che anche stavolta" --> again has to be translated as if it was "this time again"

"loro" is unnecessary
"dalle tradizioni popolari" (better, because "gente" is somewhat informal)
"invece che dalla Bibbia" (correct, because "di dalla" is always wrong)

>incluso dei studiosi, credino che
"anche studiosi" (correct, because "incluso dei" is wrong; at worst, "inclusi alcuni studiosi")
"credano" (correct)
"bigoted against the common people of England" --> "imposta comunemente agli inglesi"

Bros I've come to conclusion that I neither need nor should learn and know any language except English. Any other language is just inferior either culturally or economically. Is this the final form of language learning when you realize that all other languages are merely memes? Is that based?

thanks for the indepth response user!

Hardest language?

In the world? Difficult to say, as there are a lot of different ways a language can be difficult. Japanese may have the most challenging writing system. Navajo and related languages have the hardest morphology of all the languages I've looked at.

Watch anime in your TL it helps

What does the annoying anime girl voice sound like in arabic? It's probably something like a turkey gobbling right?

Mein Zeh tut weh
