US is certainly not the villain and it's a complex world. Perhaps refraining from either/or oversimplifications would work best. Checks and balances are very important.

I think its hard to asses what people actually think about the U.S through the metric fuck ton of criticism it gets. I would say that most people don't think the U.S is bad, just disappointed it isn't better.
Also maybe some people are just a tiny bit envious of the geopolitical clout the U.S has. Just a smidge.
