La1: state-owned. Quite standard TV channel. Slightly less cancerous than private channels. Tries to copy British shows. Has one quiz show and it broadcasts movies often.
Antena 3: private channel. Shamelessly pro-status quo looking at its news programmes. It broadcasts some quiz shows. Gave up on producing any decent TV shows and bought Turkish TV shows wholesale a couple of years ago.
Cuatro: relatively small channel. Quite leftist, some trash TV programmes.
Telecinco: owned by Berlusconi. Basically a gossipping channel dedicated to create crappy drama using washed up pseudo-celebrities. God awful.
La Sexta: hyper-politicised TV channel. Mouthpiece for the country's two main left wing parties.
