Was the UK leaving the EU a good idea?
Was the UK leaving the EU a good idea?
They can't admit it was a mistake otherwise they would look pretty dumbs.
I don't think so, and they'll be back by 2050. What has the UK done during this time that they could have not done while in the EU?
yes but we will never admit it and we shouldn't talk about it anymore because it only causes seethe
France will prevent us from applying by privately telling us they will veto
it was their choice, everyone must respect that.
It makes no fucking sense based on the list of benefits Brexiteers sold to the bong voters. But, it makes perfect sense if you follow the stuff Boris Johnson used to write about when he was a journalist for The Telegraph. Basically, paranoia about Europe reverting to German-led order (a la the heydays of the Holy Roman Empire) took hold in a small subsection of the British ruling elite, and they felt that they have exit EU to stop Britain from being a second fiddle to Germany and were willing to do anything (lie, lie, lie) to get the voters to sign off on this.
John Gray (philosopher) said it is a good thing; the british have a chance to let their society experience change, and affect it more directly (or something like that).
The EU doesnt even have the energy to collapse, like the Soviet Union.
All in all im not sure, it depends entirely on how the EU will fare
Not really. Ignoring the issues with loss of benefits being in the bloc, the Tories have dealt with our exit appallingly bad.
>Was the UK leaving the EU a good idea?
It doesn't matter. They have city of london that allows the world's most corrupt and vile criminals to launder money while profiting of that shit.
no
Yes. At least we can finally integrate properly without perfidious anglos constantly annoying the shit out of everyone.
You're seething because that used to be Amsterdam but bongs monopolized that lucrative business?
>France will prevent us from applying by privately telling us they will veto
Exactly. You tried to fuck us all the way during brexit negotiations and after. Never again the UK in the EU. Brexit is brexit.
we make ridiculous amounts of money from meme finance like accounting and auditing
all of the top 4 global accounting firms are british, it's mental
this I think it was a mistake but I'm glad EU and UK both showed it's possible to make such a move in a more or less civilized manner.
No, but because we left the EU less than a month before Coronavirus hit, its hard to assess the true impact of it
What I do know is that if I visit an EU country, I have to use the non-EU passport lanes like some sort of filthy thirdie
I would be against re-joining anyway. It's too embarrassing.
The boomers had their fun
we've gone to absolute shit
for me, no, but it hasn't been the apocalypse that remainers predicted either
we're stuck in a 1000 year tory reich in any case
a red jez brexit britain would be far better desu
i can't trust a tory
agree desu
smoothbrains don't realise that the immigration demand is directly the result of free market ideology that has dominated since the 80s
tories will never, ever make an actual attempt to curb immigration, and that's all most people want
Hello, Guy.
How will this happen with the Danes and Dutch?
100% the right decision leaving.
