It's pretty bad for everyone involved since its a major cope of self hatred and insecurities that they simply can't handle anymore so they create this alternate reality in their minds about how great and awesome and special they are and real world people have to play along with this charade or they start projecting their inner chaos outwards at these people.

Usually real narcs can look like trash because they are awesome why would they need to exercise or keep proper hygiene. Same with skills like they have hard time learning things because they cant admit or learn from mistakes. And worst of all they usually have a very negative impact on whoever has the displeasure of having to be close to this person irl.

Not all narcissism is pathological or harmful. Narcissism can be positive. Some amount of narcissism is essential to developing self-esteem. You have some amount of narcissism.

There is grandiosity, which is what you’re thinking about, and then there is realistic high outward self-confidence. Both reflect some degree of narcissism.

I feel you are talking about something other than narcissism. Narcissists dont even have good self esteem, that's why they constantly try to drag others down, manipulate and pit others against eachother and are incredibly fragile towards criticism.
