I want to go to school in Europe. I am studying German because I wanted to go to Germany first, but the more I read about the Netherlands the nicer it seems. The food, the culture, and the environment all around seem much friendlier than Germany.
Which one is better? Is the Netherlands worth the 25k Euros vs Germany?
Netherlands I went to Berlin once and all germans are rude and unnecessarily cold towards everyone, a cashier even ignored my good morning and I said it twice

Hijacking this thread to ask whether 2 weeks in the Netherlands this coming August is worth it, or if that time is better spent seeing Brussels + Hamburg as well instead of just staying in the Netherlands
Wyatt King
also is it true that i can bike across the entire length of the country in a day? in which case can i literally bike to brussels from amsterdam in 2-3 days? i am decent at road biking

You're probably going to have a better time asking on /trv/ since they field questions like yours all the time.

Its gonna be more like a week with the dilation breaks

I'd say Germany. West Germany is the way to go. Somewhere in Nordrhein-Westfalen to be specific. This way you can enjoy free stuff and just move to Netherlands by train on weekends. Takes about an hour one way. And avoid living in big cities. These are only good as a tourist.
Daniel Sullivan
/trv/ is shit and slow and filled with Americans i'm not an MTF girl though, what would i be dilating for?
Any Forums isn't slow though, so there's actually a chance i'll get my question answered before i die

Thank you, Teutanon. This was my original plan (Hamburg specifically), but I started thinking that if I was so eager to spend time in the Netherlands than maybe it would just be better to study there altogether. I'm also put off by die Kirchensteur. I was more ok with it before but now I'm not so sure.
