Ask me anything
I am Christian and studied the Bible for 28 years
what's your favorite anime?
Why are you so obsessed with yourself
I like Lupin III and Inazuma Eleven
I am not, I am simply love talking about God and his Holy Word to others !
I apologize if I gave the wrong impression.
Why would God allow humans to do cruel things to each other? Things like murder, rape, slavery? Why would God allow those?
Congratulations on wasting 28 years reading a Jewish fanfic with centuries old alterations by egomaniacal kings and ((((holy)))) men
How to reconcile the story of rich people being as likely to enter the kingdom of heaven as a camel passing through a hole of the needle with the creed that Jesus has died for everyone's sin, including rich people? Or even with the modern times when we are all fairly rich compared to preindustrial times?
Go back dude Christ is our King.
Notice how the Bible describes a process that can lead to harmful acts.
“Each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death.” (James 1:14, 15)
When individuals act on improper desires or give in to wrong cravings, they are bound to suffer bad consequences. (Romans 7:21-23)
As history shows, humans have committed horrendous acts and caused immense suffering.
Do you think God should intervene and prevent people from doing bad things ?
Consider how man is made. The Scriptures say that God created man in God’s own image, that is, in God’s likeness. Thus, humans have the ability to reflect God’s qualities. (Genesis 1:26)
Humans have been given the gift of free will and can choose to love God and stick to him by doing what is right in his eyes. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20)
If God coerced people into following a certain course, would he not be nullifying the gift of free will? ??
humans would be reduced to nothing more than MACHINES, doing exactly what they were programmed to do !!!
The same would be true if fate dictated what we do and everything that happens to us. How glad we can be that God dignifies us by allowing us to choose our own course !
but this does not mean that the harm caused by human error and bad choices will forever plague mankind, he has promised to eliminate badness :

Are you the JW retard?
how many boys did you molest?
More so than with any other religious text, we have assurance that the Bible is true !
The combination of internal consistency, connection to evidence, and relevance to our experience makes the Bible unique among books. Like many religious works, the Bible claims to be true (2 Timothy 3:16)
Unlike any other religious work, the Bible emphatically supports that assertion :)
he was using hyperbole to illustrate that just as a literal camel cannot go through the eye of an actual sewing needle, it is impossible for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom if he continues to cling to his riches and does not put JEHOVAH FIRST in his life.—Luke 13:24; 1 Timothy 6:17-19.
Jesus made this statement just after a rich young ruler turned down the grand privilege of becoming Jesus’ follower. (Luke 18:18-24)
A wealthy individual having greater love for his possessions than for spiritual things cannot expect to gain everlasting life in the Kingdom arrangement. Yet, certain rich people did become Jesus’ disciples. (Matthew 27:57; Luke 19:2, 9)
So a rich person who is conscious of his spiritual need and who seeks divine help can receive God-given salvation !—Matthew 5:3; 19:16-26.
Amen !
God parted the Red Sea to prevent Pharoah's army from murdering the Jews. So why couldn't he have intervened to prevent other bad things from happening? Tell me, why did God intervene for Moses but not for other people?
because jews are the chosen people duh
Because God's plan was to secure his chosen people as per his covenant with Abraham.
Abraham was chosen to be the bearer of the Messiah "through whom all nations of the earth will certainly be blessed.” (Genesis 22:18)
So Jehovah can decide to provide protection for a particular reason or purpose whenever he chooses.
Hence, when individual Christians are not delivered from trials, they should not conclude that God has deserted them
We have to accept the reality that bad things will happen, even to faithful servants of Jehovah
You are right that God miraculously intervened in behalf of his worshipers in the past, but there are also some instances where individuals were not rescued either
Many faithful servants of God live and work among violent people and at times become their target. We may find ourselves in a life-threatening situation simply because of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Moreover, we experience the reality expressed by Solomon when he stated that “time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all.”—Ecclesiastes 9:11.
Additionally, the apostle Paul stated that Christians would be the object of persecution because they worship God.
He said: “In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted.” (2 Timothy 3:12)
Therefore, God-fearing people are not exempt from the effects of violence, crime, natural disaster, or accidental death. Satan has tried to use the argument that Jehovah puts a hedge around His people so that they go through life unscathed. (Job 1:9, 10) That is not the case.
We can, however, be certain that even when Jehovah does not provide miraculous deliverance from a situation, he does give his people protection !
why don't you use God's other names other than "jehovah"?
jehovah isn't even accurate
it's YHVH
jehovah is a bastardization of the name
Nice try Kanye.
You have zero assurance. It’s well know that the Bible has been edited countless times over the centuries and is a patchwork at best of the original, if an original ever even existed. Not to mention the innumerable mistranslations in almost every language.
Jehovah is english for YHWH, just like Jesus is english for Yeshuah.
Names can change depending on the language, for example in Romanian you say Petru for Peter, but in the Greek gospel it was Πέτρου, but his original name in Hebrew should be פטרוס !
Other language pronounce God's name differently, for example in Japanese they say Ehoba and in Arabic they say Yahwa
In any case, what matters is that we use the name of God
Why ?
Because to know God by name means to have a close relationship with him.
The name Jehovah means “He Causes to Become.” It is an assurance that God will become whatever is needed to fulfill his purpose. So, knowing God’s name implies believing that God will fulfill his promises. (Psalm 9:10)
The faith of people who know and use God’s name moves them to trust in him and to put him first in their life. Jehovah God will protect such people :)
Psalm 91:14
God said: “Because he has affection for me, I will rescue him. I will protect him because he knows my name
Thanks for the elaborate answer, francebro. I would just like to interject in the question of free will - would it be fair to say that the original sin was the depiction of birth of free will in humans that they promptly used to rebel against God? Was it the point before which humans could be considered mere animals?
I disagree. Bible writers acknowledged that they wrote in the name of Jehovah, the one true God, and that they were guided by him. Prophets who wrote the Hebrew Scriptures proclaimed more than 300 times: “This is what Jehovah has said.” (Amos 1:3; Micah 2:3; Nahum 1:12) Other writers received God’s message through angels.—Zechariah 1:7, 9.
The Bible was written by some 40 men over the course of 1,600 years. Some men were used to write more than one book of the Bible. In fact, the Bible is a miniature library of 66 books. It consists of the 39 books of the Old Testament, and the 27 books of the New Testament.
The Bible is THE most influential book in human history !
It explores the big questions of why we exist
It’s inspired many people to do amazing things
it's a small library of books that all emerged out of the history of the people of ancient Israel. And in one sense, they were just like any
other ancient civilization. But among them were a long line of individuals called prophets and they viewed Israel’s story as anything but ordinary.
They saw it as a central part of what God was doing for all humanity, including YOU !
Jesus is not my lord
Yeshua is
I will name my child Yonatan, not Johnathan
>I like Lupin III and Inazuma Eleven
Those chinese cartoons are evil, you should be ashamed to be a sinner.
JWs are only allowed to listen to religious songs and read the watchtower magazines other than the bible.

God created us, including Adam and Eve, with free will.
Our God dignifies us with free will, the power to make decisions of our own rather than having God or fate predetermine what we do
God created humans in his image. (Genesis 1:26) Unlike animals, which act mainly on instinct, we resemble our Creator in our capacity to display such qualities as love and justice. And like our Creator, we have free will !
Unfortunately Adam and Eve used their free will to sin. When they disobeyed God by eating from “the tree of the knowledge of good and bad,” they committed what many call the original sin. (Genesis 2:16, 17; 3:6; Romans 5:19)
That tree was off-limits to Adam and Eve because it represented God’s authority, or right, to decide what is right and wrong for humans. By eating from the tree, Adam and Eve took matters into their own hands, choosing to decide for themselves what is right and wrong. In doing so, they rejected God’s moral authority.
And the world we live in is the result of that, for close to 6000 years humans have been ruling themselves without God. This is why the world in such a mess :(
Can non-christians go to heaven?
King james bible or new international
Why do you not believe Yeshua is God?
he literally says it himself

Why would you waste your life on studying the Bible? Isn't it kinda boring and outdated?
>Nicean creed
Ew
What's most up to date book? Quoran is also pretty old at this point.
God selects a limited number of faithful Christians who, after their death, will be resurrected to life in heaven. (1 Peter 1:3, 4)
They will serve alongside Jesus as KINGS and PRIESTS for 1,000 years. (Revelation 5:9, 10; 20:6) They will form the “new heavens,” that will rule over the “new earth"
The Bible indicates that 144,000 people will be resurrected to heavenly life. (Revelation 7:4)
God promises everlasting life on EARTH for MOST good people.—Psalm 37:11, 29, 34.
Jesus said: “No man has ascended into heaven.” (John 3:13) He thus showed that good people who died before him, such as Abraham, Moses, Job, and David, did not go to heaven. (Acts 2:29, 34) Instead, they had the hope of being resurrected to life on earth.—Job 14:13-15.
The resurrection to heavenly life is called “the first resurrection.” (Revelation 20:6) This indicates that there will be another resurrection. It will be an EARTHLY one.
I haven't read the new international, I don't like the KJV
“My Father is greater than I [Jesus].”—John 14:28.
“I [Jesus] ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.”—John 20:17.
“To us there is but one God, the Father.”—1 Corinthians 8:6.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”—1 Peter 1:3.
“These things saith the Amen [Jesus], . . . the beginning of the creation of God.”—Revelation 3:14.
your cherry picked sections that you picked imply the holy spirit doesn't exist
once again
dumb Arian
The Bible isn't outdated at all, on the contrary it's ahead of its time !

The more I study the Bible, the more I know more about our Creator. As I grow in knowledge of God, my faith will become stronger. Faith helps you to please God. (Hebrews 11:1, 6)
It moves me to repent and to make beneficial changes in my way of life.— Acts 3:19
I believe in the holy spirit. The holy spirit is God’s power in action, his active force. (Micah 3:8; Luke 1:35)
God sends out his spirit by projecting his energy to any place to accomplish his will.—Psalm 104:30; 139:7.
