do you have true freedom in your country? are you allowed to go outdoors and camp wherever you want in the wilderness?
Freedom to roam
Are woodlands just fenced off in other countries? Do people really give a shit if your shoes happen to erode their "private property" on some undeveloped land?
in the US, landowners are allowed to shoot and kill trespassers on sight
VGH WHAT A FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE!!!!!
Germany
In Germany a limited right to roam, called Betretungsrecht, is guaranteed by multiple federal laws. The Federal Nature Conservation Act,[27] the Federal Forest Act[28] and the Federal Water Management Act allow everyone access to open landscape, uncultivated land, forests and water bodies, including cycling and horse-riding on tracks and paths. The right may be further regulated through state law.
Bavaria
The Constitution of Bavaria guarantees everyone "the enjoyment of natural beauty and recreation in the outdoors, in particular the access to forests and mountain meadows, the use of waterways and lakes and the appropriation of wild fruits".[29] The right is nicknamed Schwammerlparagraph (mushroom clause). The article also obliges "every person to treat nature and the landscape with care". "The state and the municipalities shall be entitled and obliged to maintain free access to mountains, lakes, rivers and other beautiful sceneries and to create free access by restricting property rights and to create hiking trails and recreational parks".
are you allowed to go camping wherever you want in germany?
Sure, most of the country is unpopulated
yes, access is public
everywhere except for wildlife reserves
Yes
Thankfully not. The last thing we need is more dumbass tourists and townies littering over farmland. They make enough of a mess in public forests.
seems like a shit law
Does Denmark even have anywhere to roam in? Isn't it just farms and cities and other developed areas?
>guide uses blue and cyan
>the actual colours used are translucent so they look like purple and green on top of the brown background
aaaaaaaaaaaaa
False if you do this you go to jail and get raped those who do it are redneck trash or groids. You first have to put up several signs saying stay out or you will be prosecuted then you have to find them and tell them to leave then you can kill them
I support freedom to roam but we don't have this law because most of the wilderness is not owned by anyone
Everything here is owned. You would roam someones property.
we only have mountains, they are definitely not owned by anyone
I doubt anyone can stop you from sleeping in some Atlas mountain or the desert considering no one is there in the first place, but you might get into trouble if you're camping in some popular forest destination near a city, we had a lot of forest fire problems a few years back due to tourists trying to """camp""" with complete disregard for the environment.
To my knowledge, You just need to get a permit so they know if you go missing
I don't know any laws in my country. I guarantee my freedoms myself.
We don't have much but we do have a few nature areas. I've been wildcamping in the Veluwe. It was great.
Large parts of our nature is designated as protected wildlife reserves that you can't just walk into.
Other than that you're free to go anywhere that isn't private property, and you're legally allowed to cross over private property if you have no other choice when heading to a destination.
