Why is "turtles" easy to pronounce, but "shorter" is a tongue twister?

ashortith?
?
Sounded like it blended together into one word:
>Your turtle is ashortithe than my turtles
this just confused me more pekka
retard
Is just me that always thought these turtles were n**gers for some reason?
Also you insert "a" where it's not needed (your turtle is "a" shorter than my turtles). But in the second version it's clearer.
they were skateboarding stoners.
I'm being honest. If it weren't for the post providing context, I would've had no idea what you just said in the middle of that sentence.

HUH? HUUUUUUUUUUUUUH?????
It's an honest critique. Your voice is much clearer in the version where you're speaking British English, and almost unintelligible in the American one. However, you're inserting an unnecessary "a" in between "is" and "shorter".
Don't know what fucking accent this is. Clearly not a regular American accent.
There is no "is" retard.
>your turtles are shorter than my turtles
I’m from Massachusetts
This is me mimicking you.

Then that's not how you pronounced it at all. There is no "are" pronounced there. You said:
>Your turtle is ashortithen my turtles.
No matter how many times I play that clip, it doesn't sound any different to me. I cannot make out the "are", or the second rhotic vowel in "shorter". It kinda all slurred together there in the middle.

lel. stop messing with them fellow massfag
You just sounded British, it makes sense tho since my accent is one of the few accents in the US that’s non-rhotic like British English.
Okay, I think I know what happened. In "turtles" you pronounced an extra syllable between the L and Z sounds which made it sound like "turtle is" - and your "are" was too weak to the point where it just sounded like "a", it didn't even have an R-sound at the end.
What a dumbass
>turtles
and
>turtle's
are pronounced the same way
the
>are
is not emphasized
Here I'm really enunciating, but this is not a natural way of talking.
