Thou art more hideous and vile than a gay pride parade

When normans invaded

thou shall not remember the past.

>inflection
>soul
Lmao miss me with that shit.

when we let them back in

>niggard

Early Modern English pisses me off for some reason. Middle and Old English do too. It's something about the syllable groupings and prevelance of certain phonemes. Modern English is very thspspspsthspsp but these other varieties are more thæthscœæththæsc. Makes me want to reach into the speaker's mouth and rip out his fucking tongue like dude you don't deserve this thing if that's how you're going to use it.

you gay and smelly

When class distinction became less evident and everyone defaulted to the more formal/respectful “you” to be safe and it was easier.

>Lmao miss me with that shit.
>immediatly inflects his pronoun

I would support bringing it back without the T-V distinction.

How would that work?

Yeah

The distinction would simply be based on plurality. "Thou" would be singular, whether formal or informal. "You" would be ambiguous.

> English > soul

Thou doest make a good point

I believe "doest" would be pronounced as "dust". Like how "does" is pronounced "duz".

you're probably right. I found that the correct spelling is dost, so it could be pronounced like that
