its because sub -saharan africans are very diverged people from other Eurasians.they are genetically the most distant from all Eurasians.There hair is not simply curly it only get curly after extensive mixing with Caucasians , there hair is “heliotrichous” if you look closely you will see that there original state of hair follicle you will see that it has a helical form, whereas that of the Oriental Eurasians hair follicle is straight. They africans also have a distance between each coiled/helical hair follicle, while the Eurasian hair (such as the ancient egyptian hair here) is made of many straight follicle near themselves with no distance this is what gives the difference in hair form.also the african hair is very dry unlike the eurasian hair is much more fatty.
about the reason behind that , its still bugging anthropologists why africans have that hair some hypothesis that hair help in sweating as they live in hot climate , but there’s many other people outside africa who lived in african climate but having very different hair. (its possible that it represent an archaic trait)
as for the Caucasoid hair , its said that Caucasoid hair can help from extensive sun as the Caucasoid hair covers all the head and doesn't leave spaces such as the negroid hair , in populations such as arabians and indians who constantly live under the sun , It also helps against Cold climate as it warms the brain from the extensive cold climate in europe.. that’s why europeans having a longer hair comparatively to other nations.
