I just don't like using honorifics, it's awkward.

having a non native name
lmaoing at chinks named kevin

you will never be a real native
your parents language is just another thing that distracts you from assimilating

This. I remember back in school there'd always be these Asian kids with names like "Jack Chang" or "William Dong" like do you wanna be white or asian? pick a side lol

Why do people care so much about this
This is not the first time ive seen inters post about this

My parents did the same thing, theyd just assume I would master portuguese but I never got fluent enough that I could tell them my frustrations so Id say it in english(a language they didnt understand themselves)

that's not cucked that's based, it's proper assimilation.

this

>dad is from Belarus, grew up in Ukraine
>mom is from Ukraine
>both can only speak Russian
I was cucked before it even began

Wait your parents aren't portuguese speakers?
I'm confused

We lived in America at the time.

If they are Asians and not Asian American they usually pick an English name, it happened here anyway

not a problem because my diaspora cunt's native language is also English :)

I would just speak back in English.
So while my understanding is half alright my speaking is shit.

My Mum and didn't want to learn Maltese from her dad as a kid and now that she's grown up she regrets it. Always take an opportunity to learn things lads, knowledge is power (even if it's knowledge of a useless Arab dialect)

My dad is from a city 50 kilometers away where they speak a completely different dialect. I didn't learn it and now I can barely understand it at all, so I know this feel

>his parents refused to teach him their native language
Good, that means they're properly integrating into their new country's society. Don't tell me you want enclaves and fifth columnists.

My parents speak two different dialects that I find hard to understand, plus I don't even speak standard italian. I truly suffer.

My parents taught me pero lo he olvidado hablar bien

u can do everything too integrate .. they will still not see you as on of their own in their hearts
