I have one almost exactly like that because the radiator that's built into the apartment has very little heat. I fucking hate that thing. The temperature goes up and down so fucking much in the room, driving me crazy. I've had it this way for years but I'm planning to buy a wireless thermostat and position it on the opposite side of the room, hopefully it will end this annoyance.

I prefer these, I like the hot wind blowing into me. Convectors like in your pic just make the air dry and heavy. For real heating other than radiators, a fireplace is best.
