Sailors who set up a community in liverpool ages ago
Hong kongers who set up restaurants across the uk with a base in birmingham
Modern chinese (essentially students and property investors)

Not to this degree but yes in fact my state capital has largest & oldest China town in South Asia most of which came during British Raj period when Calcutta was headquarters/capital of entire British Asia
