i dont think slovenia was specifically poor? Although the Viennese people liked to larp as nobility, thats a reason the coffeehouse culture became a thing, used to be a pub for the nobles and inteligentsia but plebs copied them

Differences certainly do exist. For instane in Slovenia only the sweet dumplings you posted before are still popular but not the savoury type. And we have a lot more of these Eintopf dishes (the term has actually survived in colloquial Slovene as ajntopf) I feel.
