This is the Pahlavi script which was used to write Persian before the Arab conquest. Should Iran switch to this system again?
This is the Pahlavi script which was used to write Persian before the Arab conquest...
Both Pahlavi and Arabic derive from the Aramaic script
It's not for writing Persian. It's for writing Avestan. Difference.
Old Persian used syllabary/phonetic cuneiform.
Then what was Persian written in before the Arab conquest?
I think Arabic comes from Nabatean script
Persian was a local language during the heydays of Persian empire, not necessarily a lingua franca. Persian only got its prestige after Islam.
Wtf
Then what did the Persian speak? Avestan? I know that was it's holy language but was it used for non religious purpose?
the thing is like almost everything written down for like 1400 years have been written in Arabic script and that takes shit ton of years to be translated,I don't think the laziness wouldn't allow such a thing, not at least in the times of the so called islamic republic, people in general wont mind though.(I think.)
Persians spoke Persian. Aramaic used to be more popular than Persian. The rest either spoke Anatolian or Hebrew or Greek or other Iranic languages.
Koreans wrote in Chinese for 2000 years but they switch to hangul 50 years ago. You can do it too
yeah but the main problem is muh islam.
No faggot. Stop debasing the culture of other countries. Go away with your soulless bug script.
Leave him alone, he started this interesting thread and is contributing to it unlike you
Will the regime ever get toppled/enghelaab'ed? Where do you see Iran in 2040?
P.S. my dad's family is from Luristan
Then get rid of your retarded islamist regime that is turning your country into North Korea 2.0
>NOOO, CONTRIBUTION NOOOO
Shut up. I already contributed. All posts with my flag in this thread are mine.
Good afternoon. What type of tea did you drink today?
What script was Shahnameh written in?
Cringe, Javanese>soulless Latin
Hangul and hanja were both used for a long time
Arabo-Persian script; Ferdowdi wrote it in the 11th century AD
That script was so unefficient lol. Its letters are twice the size of those of Devanagari.
nah hangul was used with and without chinese characters since its creation. sometimes used much like kana is in japanese.
I only drink coffee bitch
