How do Hindus cope with the fact that Buddhism is better than Hinduism in every way?
>Great kings like Ashoka and Kanishka were Buddhists
>The Indo-Greek kings were Buddhists
>Buddhist art mogs Hindu art
>Capture the heart of Asia and even replaced Hinduism where it once was dominant
>Angkor Wat turned to a Buddhist temple from a Hindu temple
>No caste autism
>Buddhist monks mog Brahmins
>Superior Tantric traditions
>Superior architecture

I respect Buddhists.

Buddhism is perceived as a cool mystical religion whose members are reconciled to themselves and the world. They are often perceived as peaceful masters of martial arts. Hindu religions are incomprehensible and are associated with dirt, violence, bathing in the Ganges, cow shit, rats, caste autism and racism.

Not my problem

buddhism is only compatible with yellow people, brown/black/white aren't made for buddhism

In Journey to the West, West of China is India, implying Buddhism actually has its roots from Hinduism -- and I think Asian Martian Arts actually had its root in some kind of Indian fighting with a short stick.

- Asian

Well Buddhism starts in India. Also, Buddhism is born out of rejecting Hinduism.
Martial arts stuff, yea likely but Asians made it look cooler.

Imagine not being a budista in 2022

Both are massively impractical religions that require faith in frankly absurd things

Oh you're just going to sit around meditating until you no longer suffer? Good luck with that

As to your question dont hindus just we wuz buddhism and sikhism?

Buddhism isnt about that. Lurk more atheist stupid fag

Buddhism is about believing some guy 2500 years ago sat under a tree and meditated for 49 days and stopped suffering

When he told other people how to stop suffering he told them to become monks. Eat once a day etc

Why should i believe in nirvana? Why should i believe meditation does anything? Buddha talks a lot about rebirth, why should i believe it? 7 heavens and hells, why?

Why is sleeping on the ground good? Why is eatimg before noon good?

>As to your question dont hindus just we wuz buddhism and sikhism

They do, it's very cringe.

Hinduism is literally the incel chud version of Buddhism.

The Indian version looks badass though, the white guy narrator was talking about how they train to fight against swords and knives while not having a sword or knife! Makes me feel like that bathhouse fight in Eastern Promise, very vulnerable.

Can anyone explain to me why "Western" Buddhists are looked down upon, but Western Christians get a pass? As far as I know you don't have to assent to any historical stuff in Buddhism, but with the Bible you have to study the ways of a single Near Eastern tribe. I am a Christian, for the record.

Because most Western Buddhists are not really spiritual at all. For them to be a "Buddhist" is more of a fashion statement, or something to say to virtue signal, as Buddhism is seen as a peaceful and good-willed belief system.

Most self-proclaimed Western Buddhists have never read a single text of the Pali Canon or any sutra of any of the schools of Buddhism.

I am a Buddhist myself and for this very reason I never say I am one to anyone, even if someone else claims he is in front of me. Because nobody will take you seriously because of leftists that do this.

I don't think Western Buddhist really understand Nirvana. In Buddhism with rebirth, we are doomed to born again and again so we can suffer and die, peace or happy ending is the final ending where we stay dead, that's it, it's not heaven or heavenly feeling.

Once you tell people that Buddhism is basically about rerolling until you have enough courage to be a monk and live a life devoid of comfort, they think you're talking shit.

They think buddha was just a super chilled out guy saying nice things.
They don't realise that part of the religion is to be hungry, uncomfortable, bitten by mosquitos

>I don't think Western Buddhist really understand Nirvana.
Neither do I. Nobody that isn't an arahant (or a stream enterer) has a grasp on Nirvana.

But you are right in that they misconceive rebirth as something positive, when it isn't. According to Buddhist cosmology, most rebirths are in a miserable state. Birth as a human is an exceedingly rare and privileged position to be in, even if you are born in one of the most miserable places a human can be born in or as. Understanding this is part of understanding anicca (worthlessness of worldly things) which is part of the path towards liberation.
"rerolling" implies that whatever you are born as is completely left to random chance, which is "wrong view" as far as I know. In Buddhism there is a direct law of cause and effect (pratiya sammupadda) that determines everything.

I didnt mean randomly rerolling, i meant rebirthing but used Any Forums speak.

My point was more about the austerities of a monk and how worldly life of love and success and sense pleasure and health are not priorities

Western "buddhism" is just new age bullshit

because western buddhists are associated with the faux-spiritual SEA backpacker stereotype, whereas western christians are usually born into it
