I mean teachers have no choice today, they are completely neutered by the parents and school administration and can lose their job if a student "feels like they've been hurt" so they must approach every student like a fucking minefield.
Imagine that your job is to critique teenagers filled to the brim with pubescent hormones, insecurities and still developing rationality and logic, but if they even once feel like you're being mean, unfair or hurt their feelings then that could be it for you. And the parents are often even worse.
