What do you think about the GDR? Amongst 'west Germans' it is common to claim that it was essentially just like 'Nazi Germany'. However 'de-nazification' was taken very seriously in the 'east' while this was not so much the case in the 'west'. Just as an example: The founder of the infamous stasi was Willhelm Zaisser, a KPD member since 1921 who actively fought the 'nazis' from the USSR. The founder of the BND on the other hand was Reinhard Gehlen, a 'nazi'.
So tell me, do people in your cunt perceive the GDR like that as well (if they even are aware of its existence, of course)?
west germany were cucks who were maing porn in the 60s and were full of junkies and faggs in the berlin zoo in the 80s. East Germany is the real Germany
The GDR was a Russian army base with a potemkin village for flavor. > But was it Nazi Who gives a shit?
Connor Reyes
>But was it Nazi Not the point, they obviously were not. I just wanted to know if they are perceived as such in other parts of the world or if that is a BRD thing.
Elijah Scott
When the two sides united, you should have kept the west flag with the eagle at the centre. Tricolours are boring
Justin Anderson
>What do you think about the GDR? Their flag looks cooler than the FRG one, and that emblem is probably the best from the communist states.
David Roberts
This. The German flag looks better with something on it.
Anthony Turner
East germany purge all the nazis
West germany did not, in fact they reincorporated them into society as if nothing ever happened
Carson Turner
Lol the DDR had a full on nazi party they kept around to get acceptance in the population (NPD)
Grayson Flores
I chatted with this guy online who was an East German communist. He was extremely bitter and nostalgic for the good old days. He was also 60+ years old and had cancer.
Daniel Rivera
I know, hence why it's weird when I hear something like that. Obviously it's only some people making that claim, but still, such a total lie.
Dominic Evans
Back you faggot
Zachary Clark
*NDPD
NPD is the western pendant who the gov has been trying to get banned for years
Jaxson Lopez
That's not propaganda at all, but a fact, Schumacher was 100% right
Oliver Murphy
Theres a difference between tolerating a bunch of fringe lunatics clowns vs actually having cold blooded mass murderers in state bureoucracy as the "freedom loving" west did in west germany
Thomas King
The NPD is a BRD party. You mean this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Democratic_Party_of_Germany_(East_Germany) Yes, its purpose was to win over former Wehrmacht soldiers and 'nazis'. It is no surprise the the GDR would do that as not everyone would flee to the west. However can you actually show me a single instance of an actual 'nazi' rising through the political ranks of the GDR?
Juan Gomez
Thr DDR had enough heroes of that sort of their own like Mielke. But I know your some South American and it's normal in your countries to worship Communists. When they kill it's for a good cause.
Cooper Bailey
>actually having cold blooded mass murderers in state bureoucracy This is literally DDR
Christian Morgan
Mexico is part of North America I think and I don't think they had any commies over there.
Daniel Edwards
>But I know your some South American and it's normal in your countries to worship Communists Not really.
Dominic Morgan
Vincenz Müller

The eastern and western concepts of what it means to be a nazi are completely diferent.
You can see this today in how Russia uses denazification as a justification to invade Ukraine while westoids call him a nazi himself. Putin's idea of what it means to be a nazi(western imperialist, anti-slavic) is totally diferent from the western view(patriarchal, sexist, racist, anti-semitic, etc)
Gabriel Rodriguez
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincenz_Müller >Müller showed a willingness to cooperate with the Soviets from the time of his capture, issuing an order to troops of the Fourth Army to lay down their weapons.
That's why.
Asher Wright
To us, neither post war "wessis" or "ossis" were more nazis than the others. In our history narrative tought at school, both sides were thoroughly de-nazified. Including the administrators that held mid-level offices within the state. From our historic understanding, one of the incentives of joining the nazi party in the first place, was the carrer oppurtunities that came along with the membership.
Gavin Morales
Yes you are right. I would go as far and say that over here it lost next to all meaning, anything bad is labeled 'nazi'.
Bentley Hill
>the carrer oppurtunities Thats pretty silly. Regardless the communist to nazi pipeline was very real back then(isn't a thing anymore), so in East Germany the denazification process was a lot more fluid, just go back through the pipeline.
