Why do korean people who move to america buy chickens to keep as pets/emergency food supplies and pick weeds to put in stews? Is this common practice in Seoul? I was under the impression Korea was a first world country, was this incorrect?
Why do korean people who move to america buy chickens to keep as pets/emergency food supplies and pick weeds to put in...
It's common in countryside, but people in Seoul wouldn't be caught dead doing that.
Proof
Excuse me but that's BOOBA
How do I get a Korean gf?

Why do Koreans like America so much?
Part of Korea that was controlled by America = first-world democracy
Part of Korea that was not controlled by America = starving African monarchy
Maybe one day if next job works out.
because the US defeated the evil Japan and liberated Korea

I see. In America there are many rednecks/black rednecks who in rural lands will cook roadkill and hunt their own food. But I wonder how it is the Korean equivalent of a West Virginia hillbilly is somehow making their way into American suburbia.

They are kind of similar. Many countryside people here farm either to sell or feed their families. The difference isn't so gradual as in the US, where there is a clear line between urban, suburban, and rural areas. One area in Korea can have a countryside farmer living in a tin shack, and the next block will have a row of cafes and a 30 story apartment building.

Why is it relevant if South Korea is still a puppet state of the USA? They are still a Western Europe-tier first world country. If it's still controlled by the Americans that reflects well on the Americans.
