Dangle the prospect of letting Ukraine join NATO causing Russia to get angered

>dangle the prospect of letting Ukraine join NATO causing Russia to get angered
>when Russia has been angered enough by NATO trying to get Ukraine to join
>they start invading Ukraine
>the time comes for NATO to let Ukraine join and to defend Ukraine
>instead backpedal and do nothing consequential to help Ukrainian defend their land
>instead they spread propaganda trying to artificially raise Ukrainians morale leading them to think they can win against Russia and funneling weapons into the country
>turning a 2 week conflict into 2 year conflict and causing hundreds of thousands to die
>instead of being truthful to them and saying that they have no prospect of winning against Russia and that they should surrender to prevent massive loss of life

Seriously though, why did they protect ukrainians? What's the point of this alliance?

>pootin's propaganda
putin threw the first punch
that's all there is to it

The purpose of this war now is to bleed Russia dry and cause a color revolution that ousts Putin. This is entirely self inflicted by monke btw.

Didn't work in Hong Kong, won't work in Russia.

To protect it's members from kancaps.

>China prohibits foreigners from financing political activities
>Protests disappear almost overnight
Really makes you think....

burger money laundry?, gaining control of the gas in Yurop and getting 40% more for it?, selling weapons like there's no tomorrow?, it's all about money with burgers one way or another...

>>dangle the prospect
This is nothing. Didn't even read the rest.

There’s too much to gain, to little to lose for us from this conflict. Not being able to buy imported stuff for a while is not that big of a price in the end.

Like Russia has protests

>for a while
It's gonna be longer than that

This thread is NOT about Ukraine. You're doing great job janny

They MIGHT join NATO isn't a justification for an invasion

OK I trust a millionaire knows better than me about this situation.

Meh.

>Russia asks to join NATO
>Most likely to join the west against China
>NATO says no
>China is now heading for global hegemony

smol brain NATO

The US basically controls NATO, they don't want Western Europe to go closer and closer to Russia because that would leave them isolated.

The sactions are taking 250 billion so far from asset seizures, to blocking to other crazy shit
Everyday this is costing 2.1 billion to run. Staging it all plus time lost by having soldiers out there cost 100 billion

Putin and his friends are npt going to be paying for that. Guess who will be.

The point is to play chicken with Putin, NATO him to invade and now we can justify attacking Russia economically. If NATO cared, they would have stepped in with Crimea. This will resolve with Russia taking Donbas and connecting Crimea with Donbas. Ukraine will forever be against Russia and pro-west.

You know that all your car factories closed production because they rely too much on western parts. And itst just one example of thousands, medicine, ferilizer, seeds, food, clothes, web payments, money transfers, cars, planes, trams, trains, parts for all of them, furniture, medical equipment. I could go on and on. You're fucked.

You have to set some standards for who you have an alliance with. Russia doesn't have compatible values or politics. We gave them a chance and they got progressively worse over time.

NATO is purely defensive. China isn't aggressive like Russia so NATO can't do shit.

Nato defends Nato members. Not only was Ukraine not in Nato in 2008, there was no serious talk of them joining.
