Currently all of them are irrelevant/shit holes. Of the 3 on this map, SA has descended into ethnic violence and has degraded into a 3rd world shithole that's gonna have a civil war within the decade, Egypt is dummy poor with a population that grows faster than the economy leading to mass unemployment and poverty, as well as being 100% reliant on the Nile, while being unable to defend it's interests, and Nigeria is just a shithole, every other country is not rich/populous enough to be of importance.

Whoever the west picks as their favorite child will be a global power. Crazy to think that 30 years ago Somalia and Libya were only 3rd and 2nd to Egypt. Africas geopolitics are crazy. The DRC could become the most powerful country for all we know. Its all up to America and Europe

Egypt has been growing economically at a remarkable pace these past 6 years or so, although it's based largely on foreign loans and public sector mega projects, so I don't know if it's a healthy kind of growth or if it's temporary smoke and mirrors.

None of them. All African countries have a combination of bad geography, or unstable demographics, or other problems, no African country will ever become a global power.
