Regardless if you agree or not, those are not even alike

>Regardless if you agree or not
That's not a matter of agreeing or not lol
It happened

the U.S. and canada benefitted from their freeholders and small manufacturers when the Antilles started their boom in colonial products - rum, sugar, tobacco, etc. The Antilles were extremely overpopulated and didn't produce enough necessary goods to sustain themselves. During the wars in Europe, the U.S. started selling them ropes, food, barrels, other manufatured good which they produced themselves and shippled with their own ships. This large newfound income was compounded by the fact that cotton productivity and demand exploded during the 19th century and that the U.S. was able to expand itself to the Pacific Coast. It set the course for the U.S. to become the greatest economy in the world.
In short, the U.S. found a window to industrialize itself and it did. Canada is just an appendage of the U.S. The same but with a smaller population.

The other two countries that could've been remotely comparable to the U.S., that is, Mexico and Brazil were, the former plagued by civil war and revolts throughout the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and the latter was victim of the changes in international trade - the rise of the Antilles - and from a political elite completely averse to the idea of industrialization. In fact, independent Latin America was the first region of the world to follow the principles of free trade. They lowered their tariffs to ridiculous levels in agreements with European powers - especially Britain - decades before the first free trade agreements in Europe, if you discount the Ottoman one of 1838. This also stifled the growth of national industries there - the U.S. at the time had a far-sighted protectionist policy.

white people can't do much with black and brown kids tugging their pant legs every fucking day KEK it's literally THAT simple
