The Russians are claiming to make Ukraine a neutral country and establish a puppet government, but will the Ukrainians be willing to comply with the Russian puppet government's rule? A war broke out and a lot of people were killed by the Russians. Now all Ukrainians hate Russians, so how can they accept being a Russian puppet? Even if the war ends with Russia's victory, the Ukrainian society will be very chaotic. Then How is Russia going to rule 40 million Ukrainians? It even revived Europe, which had been weakened by disarmament.
This is not solving the problem, it is multiplying the problem. What are the Russians fighting for?
You need to remind yourself that this conflict didn't just happen out of the blue 8 years of Donbass and Luhansk shelling, the eradication of Russian in media, education, and government, killing of Russians especially immediately after 2014 Euromaidan revolution would balkanize a population to one side and the other
Going over the kremlin excuses list really doesn't address OP's statement, which is that Russia has no visible endgame or victory scenario.

They will break Ukraine into 2 pieces with the river being the border The pro western Ukraine will be bigger, but with far less access to the sea The eastern part will be a land connection with Crimea, the old separatist republics and more territory connecting them depending on where the railway and roads are Ukraine will end up like Bosnia, cut in 2

Scare their neighbors into submissiveness Eradicate Ukraine oil industry that's threatening Russian exports Get better position to bully Eastern Europe
It's all about having a position of power so that western powers will give them better deals
>Scare their neighbors into submissiveness Majority fins now support joining NATO, the message is clear, if you border Russia, be prepared to be a Russian client or seek alliances against them.
>Eradicate Ukraine oil industry that's threatening Russian exports This is the only advantage I see for Russia right now, avoiding the nightmare scenario of a Western aligned NATO and EU Ukraine that can supply the EU with gas and oil instead of Russia. >Get better position to bully Eastern Europe Unless it's through gas and oil exports, I'm not sure about this one. They've now shown that their trump card is military intervention which is not possible towards any NATO country.

I believe its also a time for Putin to retire If he draws all the hatered on himself and himself alone, he will allow russia to openly criticize and shame him, which will be rampant before the next ellection In the next year, or this one, we will see a young, brave, freedom loving Russian activist, politician or whatever rising up with support, telling truth and saying whatever normies in western europe want to hear He will be the new hero of Russia that will take on the old russian oligarchy and corruption When elections come, Putin will lose and retire with his quadrillions And that libtard faggot will become president, go around the world shaking hands, trying to show how russia is now democratic and free from dictators and shit And shit goes back as it always does, kgb doesnt sleep

Yeah, this. I really don't understand it. As of now, it seems like Russia will have to deal with a long-lasting guerilla war
Oliver Gonzalez
they unironically thought the Ukrainians would welcome them and overthrow their government without Russians having the fire a shot lmao but yes, now that hasn't happened there is no way a regime change is going to work, and god forbid the outrage if they kill the current president

Just telling you the reasons why Russians would see this as a legitimate "special operation"
When it comes to geopolitics? NATO encirclement has always been touted as a redline by the Russian state >But it's a defensive alliance No such thing. In foreign relations, this blurring of what is defensive and what is offensive is called the security dilemma. And the Russians already have proof of NATO aggression via the russo-georgian war of 2008

That's not answering the question, that's parroting what any cuck media source would say like an NPC. What's the long-term plan here?

We want to invade whoever we want while having leverage over EU/US even if it's military leverage like today aka you move a muscle = you get nuked. It's like a robbery with a suicide vest.
That is all.

They thought this would be over in a day. Showing the West who's boss, creating patriotism at home. They didn't plan on this being such a shitshow. There's no other way. They've made NATO stronger and destroyed Nordstream 2, why would they do that?
Justin Hill

>via the russo-georgian war of 2008 Really now? Russia began giving political support to the separatists almost immediately following the 2008 Bucharest summit and had literally THREATENED Georgia for attempting to join. After the EU declared that Russia could no longer serve as a peacekeeping force, the separatists began shelling OUR positions and refused to deescalate. 2 months of this shit is what prompted the attack on Tskhinvali and Russia's intervention was predicated on false premises. There was no genocide.
