Are Japanese at all bothered by the fact that Korea has become the number one East Asian export and Japan has sunk back into irrelevancy?

I think the fact that SK are actively still at war has given them no choice

It's just a matter of time before the Japs copy the Korean system and outdoes them.

i disagree
we just barely caught up in recent years only in terms of pop culture and manufacturing
japan is still a very relevant country on their own

I guess Toyotas are still good, but I don't even remember the last time I bought a Japanese product. Everything in my house is Samsung or LG. I guess I bought a PS5?

They've been doing j-pop for years and it sucks.

i mean most of our factories use japanese industrial robots and CNC infrastructures like fanuc
so technically they still get decent amount of shares for every product we sell

Our shitty rivalry is far more peaceful and simple than the complex history and circumstances of the West and the Middle East. We don't need to hate each other for no good reason.

hi korean

Jap idols are only for Nip audiences, gaijins are not allowed and sometimes banned in public events.

Meanwhile both male and female K-pop idols don't discriminate between local gooks and foreigners, in fact some have more foreign fans than locals.

Niziu is a collaboration between JYP (a big 3 Kpop agency) with Sony Music and it has been a massive hit. You think eventually the Japs involved won't copy the business model? Lmao

Don't compare every single thing.
It's obvious you're Korean on the inside.
Disgusting Koreans.

Jpop groups are starting to release dance practice videos and choreography mvs lol

I get that but I'm talking more about brand awareness and consumer opinion. Japan is losing international influence very quickly.

They already do this in China and Japan. Even K-pop groups in Korea have Chinese and Japanese celebrities. This is just a localization effort, this isn't Japan taking over the K-Pop market.

I have a Korean gf so you're not wrong.

It is not a wise choice to lower quality and lower prices to compete with China and Korea.

It’s true. Every single thing I bought from Sony for the past 8 years have been utter shit. They never fail to disappoint.

>They already do this in China and Japan. Even K-pop groups in Korea have Chinese and Japanese celebrities.
The idol entertainment in China and Japan is nowhere as mature as in Korea. China actually got quite of an international buzz with QCYN and Chuang. But as long as they don't have music shows and variety shows like kpop does it's useless. China has also logistical problems to organise stuff like music shows, but Japan can easily emulate the Korean model in Tokyo.

The reason why squid game and parasite are popular is because it's basically everything good about Japanese media except that it's aimed at an adult audience. Japanese media is too infantile and international consumers don't like it as much.

>Korea has become the number one East Asian export
No, it fucking hasn't? Japan is still the number 1 source of popular culture aside form Am*rica, and given the absolute state of w*stern culture, it will remain so until it becomes as cucked as the rest of the countries.

Go ahead and look up the top 10 items on your Netflix subscription. The likelihood of there being a Korean drama is much higher than a J-Drama.

Cuz modern jap acting is retarded
Korean acting is exaggerated too but not as bad
Japs used to make kino back when movies were black and white, but ever since color was invented their live action skills have been crap

In terms of global sales
k-pop sales are less than 100 billion.
k-drama sales are also under 100 billion.
This is the truth about Korean content.

Japan is analog
Korea is digital

I admit, that's true, japs can't make movies. However, look up video games. Virtually zero Korean influence, it's all Japan. Animation is all Japan, and it's more popular than ever.

Also people don't realise how fucking massive the Japanese market. There's a reason why it's always the #1 target for Kpop acts.

Nobody watches any more and Death Stranding isn't a video game. It's a walking simulator

Korea is a crappy people.
Korea is a crappy people.
You can be jealous all you want, but don't compare yourself to Japan every day.
Do you really want to be seen as the equal of Japan?
Don't misunderstand me, trash.

How the fuck does Pokemon generate money via museums?

You're right, though. Japan will always dominate the children's market right next to Cocolemon and Pepe the Pig. I am not a child though.
