I have no idea, I've always thought it was Kiev but now apparently if you spell it that way you're a Russian bot.
EEHHHHHH???? SEX?
here it's kijów, which is slightly closer to kyiv i think
don't they use kiev THOUGH?
not bot, troll
they are real people paid minimum wage to shitpost propaganda.
And while people are accusing anyone of it, it's a really widespread thing.

Its Kiev. Its always been Kiev. It will always be Kiev.
Going to be interesting to see how they try to explain the Kievan Rus desu
History books here that were printed in 2019 still calls the Ukrainian capital Kiev. But that's probably because the education department hasn't officially recognized the spelling yet. tbqh the new Kyiv spelling looks gay to look at.
I just checked Wikipedia
It's Kiev
kiew
It's kyiv in real Portuguese, kiev and quieve in treacherous, slimy r*ssiantuguese
Kyjev
The "je" is the same as the "i" in Ukrainian historically, the sound change just developed differently.
i always remembered it as kiev. from history and news starting at 2014. but pretty sure it's always been that in english. why did they add kyiv and push it as the default when it wasn't? it just makes it confusing and very unenglishly t.bh.
kyid
>why did they add kyiv and push it as the default when it wasn't?
because normalfags think saying a different name will revive dead civilians
Kiev, who tf says kyiv?
kiova
