if there was no christianity all europe and north asia outside greece and italy would still be nomadic cavemen....

This is unironically the truth, although somewhat exaggerated as is typical of 4channel shitposting

And how exactly would that be a bad thing for anybody?

how did you come to this conclusion?

Those who had possessed the knowledge of the Greeks and the Romans immediately following the collapse of the Western Roman Empire were not pagans, but Christians. It was they, that brought back civilization to the decrepit barbarians. So, in a way, he is correct..

Based

Picking orthodoxy instead of catholicism was the most grave long-term mistake of Russia

No they wouldn't. The Romans have spread civilization with their paganism, and it would have been spread with any other organized religion - Zoroastrianism, Mithraism, Manicheanism - monotheistic religions were all the rage in the late empire and one of them was bound to win. Christianity just happened to the one that did. And it didn't civilize everyone - Balkan Vlachs were famous nomadic orthodox people, that wandered the Balkans all the way to Ottoman times.

Why? Catholicism seems even more cucked out idk

I love shizo comics so much I make manga edits of them.

Because it was the state religion at that point and you would be punished for not following it.
Also, pre-Christian foederati were already adopting Roman cultural mores.

But is Ireland wrong? No, not necessarily, what he is saying and what you are saying are 2 sides of the same coin. There is no argument.. really.

>But is Ireland wrong?
Yes.

Also paganism is barbaric.
Even Vladimir the Great had like 300 wifes before being baptized.
