Nope, the name Peru predates even the discovery of the "South Sea" by the Spanish (eastern side of the Pacific)

It was Vasco Nuñez de Balboa who first heard about Peru while exploring Panama, after sacking a village, the heir of another village who was accompanying the Spaniards commented about much bigger treasures in an immense kingdom beyond another great sea in the south in which people used ships with sails like the Spaniards and that was immensely rich in gold.

After Nuñez confirmed the stories about a south sea, he soon arranged the construction of 4 ships in order to go in search of this kingdom of Peru but his plan ended when his opponents had him arrested (done by one of his men, Fransico Pizarro), imprisoned and sentenced to death. Years after in newly founded Panama, rumors about Peru keep arriving and Pizarro convinced that they were true used the ships Nuñez de Balboa commissioned for his first expedition.
