By that time they would have voted to join the Russian Federation

What flag shows up on Any Forums if you post from Crimea?
>People's Republic
Are they communist?
By that time (since 1991) ukraine could do an establishment referendum?
.... no they could not, because 75% majority is ethnic Russian and they would vote to join Russian Federation (for the lack of better alternatives to actual Russia). Or make that shithole into an ethnic Russian state.
I just consider anything with "People's Republic" in their name a Dictatorship...
Why are Russians so weird about Ukraine? They were their own country during USSR and are their own country after USSR.
Wanting to take it by force is only going to drive them away from friendly Russian relations.
It's not like the EU want Ukraine, they are poor and would bring trouble here. Bulgaria and Romania were bad enough for us.
>They were their own country during USSR and are their own country after USSR.
And way, way before that. Sticking with Orthodoxy seems to have been a colossal mistake.

Her mother had (built, IIRC) a house with several acres of land here. Going through the inheritance process is one of the most disgusting fuckign things I have ever experienced. It's like you're stealing something because it sure doesn't feel like it's yours by right.
At least after I die my nephew will have it all, and he has Polish citizenship already if I remember right.
Ukraine could exist as a third, autonomous nation in PLC. Prince Jeremi Wiśniowiecki against whom Bohdan CHmielnicki was orthodox (later converted to catholicism) ruthenian noble himself. IIRC his gret-uncle was first cossack hetman, and his family can be traced down back to Rurikids. Sadly, the Three-Nation Republic never happened, which I think resulted in worse fate for Poles, Ruthenians and Cossacs.
*against whom Bohdan Chmielnicki revolted
What's up with Russia and those countless breakaway fake countries that it recognizes? Don't they realize how ridiculous they look like being the only nation in the world to do so?
never, or do you see something like North Cyprus? only China seems to be able to force something like this with economic incentives, Russian economy is too weak.
I guess they get something in return
