It's lex friedman. He was born in moscow moved here. He went to pa which has free college now and got his doctorate/masters in AI. MIT saw his published papers then merced him over to be a professor there with a huge contract. He published for a long time and is probably one of the top 5 Ai guys in the world with the papers, the patents you name it to prove it.
He got famous among the academics because he's a polygot, decided to start a podcast and his academic and industry friends started popping up on it. Elon, twitter inventors, google guys, physicists, chip archs, hedge fund managers worth billions were his friends before fame because of his AI level. Then joe rogan and others saw his podcast and reached out. Then lex being a russian immigrant does what they all do and decided to start learning BJJ and I think Judo and is now probably a top 100 world guy in those 2.
He just kind of picks up whatever he wants and he's kind of an autist. If he didn't want to do the podcast he could. It's more or less whenever he leaves MIT he's going to get hired by blackrock, or a big ass hedge fund, or tesla, or space x or some industry and be a billionaire in a year or less. He can design an AI system from the ground up really from the metal mining, to chip making to electricity and did it before. It was funny because a guess kind of asked him a question about an Iphone and lex was looking at him like "dude i'm known to build super computers out of nothing for certain purposes who the fuck are you"
