Our current prime minister has been ruling since 2010 and is basically from a classic liberal (libertarian-ish) party that represents the employers union. Before it we had conservative Christians in charge since 2002.

Because for a long time we had a white majority population, and white criminals are 99% salvageable and genuinely had a bad childhood, bad circumstances that led them to do this, but they can be saved.
But nowadays support for death penalty is back at the majority in France. One can note that support for the death penalty is correlated to the proportion of non-whites in a given European country.

Basically dead in most of the country. The excepetions being 2 seperatist movements, the french and the Albertans. The albertans are basically texas, patriotic af but simultaneously fantisizing about seccession at each liberal stupidity but they'll never carry out. The french hate everyone else and want to be a seperate state since the 60s, but their weird nationalism extends almost exclusively to language. Aka they'll welcome a francophone african but despise a non french speaking european.
Beyond that it's basically nothing an noone gives a fuck about Canada.

I've noticed this as well. I remember a few years ago, Europeans would always criticize many of our policies, but we had to implement them due to the fact that we live in a diverse country. And then as soon as Europeans started getting large amounts of migrants, they have had to begun to implement many of the same policies. It is more evidence for my belief that multi-cultural societies truly cannot work.
