The US would have great public transport if General Motors didn't fuck everything up.
I also unironically believe that public transport would have kept everyone reasonably racist.
Asher Scott
>making the conscious choice to live in a giant city
name one giant city with manageable traffic
i live in a regular size town and i can hit up like 3 stores and be home in an hour by car
Kayden Thompson
Driving probably along with chimpouts are probably the main drivers of atomization of american society. On the road everyone seems like a total asshole.
Zachary Sanders
I live in a regular size city and i can hit up like 3 stores and be home in half an hour by walking
Isaac Hall

Cameron Adams
london traffic is a nightmare, the fuck do you mean?
Camden Peterson
1) no it isn't not compared to the states
2) in the case it is a nightmare you have viable alternatives e.g the tube and overground

I do have a working vehicle. Everyone do. It's in my garage.
I have the freedom to use it, but I also have the freedom to not use it.
Do you?
Evan Davis
>viable alternatives e.g the tube
yeah you just have to make sure it's not maintenance on your line today
Matthew Garcia
not gonna be reading that mate
Logan Cruz
That's because your stores are spread out, and everybody is forced to drive.
Traffic would be better if public transport wasn't absolute shit.
Would also likely have less poor people if poorer areas were connected in some way outside of roads.
Easton Young
Look, we wish we could, we really do, but you need to be a realist not an idealist. American cities are filled with human trash. It's not as if we can have walkable cities just by changing a few policies, we first need to fix the human trash problem. We've been trying for decades now.
Kevin Torres
>Freedom didnt exist before the 19th century
Cameron Gray
>public transport
Charles Sullivan
A good public transport system is important but nocar cucks are always the biggest soy fags
Jackson Moore
Cars suck cock, 90% of the population are too retarded to drive and they're just expensive, clunky death machines
Dylan Foster
This is fair criticism, large American cities could probably benefit from increased density that could make Public transport more efficient. The problem is they're mostly dependent on the State and the Feds for funding large projects and these measures are often killed by rural constituencies.
Jaxon Murphy
He means American sized superstores not fruit stands and unlicensed and brown sunglasses salesmen.
Brody Sullivan
wagie loves his cagie!
Ayden Rivera
Public transport is for literal insects.
Logan Jackson
Also NIMBYies in wealthy centrally-located suburbs tend to chimp out anytime someone mentions rezoning their area of town.
Samuel Hill
Those rich folks want a big house close to the city. That system will never change
Lucas Richardson
if I could avoid taking the car everyday, having to pay for the fuel, the insurance, having to find a place to park it at work and back home, I would
that's not freedom
freedom would be to not need a car, not to be able to use a car when you need to use a car
it's like saying you're free to breathe
Jordan Perez
Sitting in traffic for three hours a day is mind numbing
Hudson Cooper
Only braindead Ayn Rand followers dislike public transport. Ironically, they don't have a problem using planes, despite being just as "collective" as other forms of transport.
Carson Sanchez
Ok Consoomer
Xavier Torres
No its way more base than that. Cars can get you to more places, and its perfect for lazy people
Jack Richardson
pretty much everyone with few exception was a cuck of a monarch, theocrat, or dictator up till the 1800s
and in the US (one of the few exceptions to the statement above (mostly)) you were essentially forced to work in the region where you grew up because cities were spread out so far that you'd get oregon trailed if you tried to travel too far
cars made the US what it is today
Juan Wood
lmao at all the europeans in the comments like "um actually we do it even better on the continent"

>something in my car is fucked and I need to fix it
>retards honking behind me and trying to pass me because I'm going the speed limit
>some police faggot pulls me over for going 1 mph over the speed limit
>the only reason im doing this is because I live in a shit country where the urban planners thought having people live 30 minutes away from anything important was a smart idea

yes, in america you have the freedom to be a homeless degenerate bum who requires someone else to cart him around town all day, but at least here it's deincentivized
Landon Cooper
So I think everything you said is bullshit. Every public transportation I've used is filled unsavory, filthy people and I don't just mean the US, but also that in Europe and China. Its really not worth the trip to have to dirty yourself among those types.
But that's not what I want to talk to you about, have you considered the new age of self driving cares we are a quickly approaching? Any boon you can come up with for public transportation not only exist with self driving cars, but you also get the vastly superior benefits of owning your own car. Americans will obviously be the first demographic to adopt full self driving cars in mass since other countries can't even afford cars.
What do you have to say about that?
>inb4 self driving cars won't be commonly adopted within the next decade... because they just won't okay!!

Cope.
He rightfully pointed out the fact that he he has the option to choose a car to go somewhere. Or he can choose to use some other way. Be it walking, cycling, taking the bus, the tram, the metro, the train.
For him losing a driver's license would be a nuisance. For you it's a social suicide and a career killer.
He's free. You're not.
You're forever bound to your cage like good goy you are.
