Castes were never eradicated by religion you know. It's not a hierarchy, jts now an ethnic identity. People wear it. Dalits say they're proud to be dalit and murder their children for trying to marry non Dalits.

Such identities cannot be resolved by religion. In india both the muslims and Christians keep their caste/feudal identities.

The only thing that dilutes caste identity is urbanisation. Urban Indians regardless of caste affiliation show little preference to their ancestral castes.
