I dunno man, I'm a Slav in the NL and it's the same here, except that people have a fake smile when they're sober and instead explode on you with how they're on three sets of pills and have clinical depression when they're drunk.
I believe it's really a weather kind of thing. Humans are not made to live in the northern part of Europe.

Its because we were basically fucked over by everyone for our entire history so nobody really takes anything seriously anymore. Life is shit, and you are bound to get fucked over one way or another, so why be depressed about something that you can't change when you can instead be in a constant state of mania knowing that nothing you do will matter in the end?
And if everyone including yourself is laughing at your shitty fate, doesnt that turn it from a tragedy to a comedy?

The only german things we have are food prices and swastikas that dot the local buildings.
This money goes to the government which pockets half of it and spends the other half just to make it seem like they are doing something productive.
Italians and turks have ruled over us and because of this government corruption is basically such a strong tradition that unesco shouls be protecting it as cultural heritage at this point.
