Hi Any Forums, I made a small map about Peruvians around the world using Wikipedia's data.
In Peru live over 33 millon people inside their borders, but we have a 2 million people diaspora around the world.
>Over 100k people We can find the US (626k people), Argentina (320k people), Chile (266k people), Spain (250k people) and Italy (110k people).
>Over 10k people Venezuela (98k people), honestly, I wonder what all of them are doing there. Japan (60k people), Brazil (46k people), Canada (34k people, half of them living in Québec and nearly the other half in Ontario) and France (30k people)
>Over 1k people We have Germany (with 9k people), Sweden (8k people), the UK (8K people), Australia (6.5k people), Mexico (5k people), Colombia (4k people) and lastly, Austria (1.5k people)
Of all the countries mentioned here, have you met Peruvians in your country? Were they first-gen diaspora or their descendants (second-gen and more)? Did you like them? Do you prefer them over native Peruvians? Why or why not?
The countries not mentioned here, would you like to have more Peruvian diaspora in your country?

When I did Erasmus in Milán I met a Peruvian there in my course. We got paired together with a Russian girl for an assignment. We would some times start speaking in Spanish with eachother and the Russian girl would get mad at us and our "baby speak" lol.

One thing I've noticed is that they (like índios in general) seem a tad gloomy and tend to compensate with inca-wuzzing. Perhaps spaniards were a bit too hard. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgenerational_trauma
