Newport is horrible but Cardiff is nice, especially Cardiff Bay. Swansea is more of a working city and the center isn't as good but it's got sovl. Rural South Wales has an amazing coastline, quite a few islands that are easy enough to visit too. Tenby is a lot like Cornwall but the town is pretty unique with all the tall, different coloured houses that you can see from the island. Mad how St David's is technically a city but its smaller than most towns. It's a shame very few people in South Wales speak Welsh or even have a Welsh accent. North Wales is where you want to go if you want to speak with real Welsh hicks. Coastline up there is less accessible for the most part, and more rugged, but snowdonia craps on any national parks in England or Wales. Decent vodka and whisky industry in the North too

Don't know what happened to Noel but it's as if after Oasis broke up he finally clocked that he could stop beating the Britpop dead horse for 10+ years and actually move on to different styles.
Damon Albarn came to that conclusion all the way back in 1997. Took Noel until 2010 to figure it out. Liam still hasn't done so, probably never will, probably doesn't care anyway.

Actually it's generally the opposite. Liam's the nice lad who's friendly to fans and seems pretty chipper about life. Noel's the one who fobs people off if they ask him for selfies or autographs, has the massive ego, rants about anyone and everyone in the music industry or public life.
Remember a few years back when lefties were having a ragefit at Noel calling him "Tory" because he slagged off Corbyn, meanwhile Liam endorsed Labour.

With the massive influx of people interested in magick thanks to pop culture, it is turning into a feeding ground for predators and people with, what I call, "anime syndrome." Anime syndrome is where people claim they are super powerful due to x,y, z and people just need to trust their knowledge. Here are some red flags for newbies to look out for if they are trying to find a mentor:

1.) Ask any historian, ask any scholar, and they will tell you that the Abrahamic religions absolutely won. They've already disproven the Ancient Witchcult theory that supposedly operated in secret and survived through the ages. This is not to say that family lines aren't a thing, but if they claim something they can't substantiate... Run.

2.) If they claim to have learned all of their magick from a mysterious book/source that they can't/won't produce, they're full of it. If a mentor can't point you in the direction of books to learn from, they're not worth your time. Independently verify everything! Follow nothing blindly!

3.) If they claim a Tradition, but can't trace their line back to the creator of said tradition, they're not legitimate. Gardnerian wiccan is a good example.

4.) IF THEY ARE A MENTOR AND THEY TRY TO SLEEP WITH YOU... RUN!

I've known gay men that make it a point to sleep with any young guy that came to them to learn magick. I've known straight men that tried to have harems of their own. I've known of women who claim they have to initiate young men sexually to "awaken their power." They're all predators.

5.) If they seem to have learned everything from fantasy sources... RUN! You can absolutely get inspiration from fantasy magick. Some of the best rituals, wards, spells I've seen came from someone who saw an idea in a show/book and applied real magick to get a similar result... But you have to put in the time and effort to learn!

You have to look out for yourself in this messed up world we all live in. Stay sane, stay grounded, stay healthy!

I did hear the Noel wanted to change styles way way earlier. "Standing On The Shoulder's of Giants" is a pretty massive progression from what they'd made previously. Apparently he wanted to take it further but the rest of the band veto'ed it. Could have got two decades of Noel kino if it weren't for Oasis' success and the rest of the band.
