They purposely try to depict the ages of our ancient ancestors as drab, destitute and backwards.

When in actuality many of our ancient ancestors had more nutritious diets, more leisure time and higher testosterone.

They had straighter spines, wider jaws and better eyesight. They had more access to fresh produce and wild seafood from clean bountiful waters.

We're the ones wallowing in filth as barely literate miserable retards.

The real dark ages started in the 20th century.

The Middle Ages were the peak of civilization.
The introduction of nominalism in the late Middle Ages, which was the precursor the the (((Enlightenment))), was when it all started going downhill.

Depended when and where you were. Generally, people weren't very well-nourished or healthy. Infant and maternal mortality, infectious disease, and sanitation were at third world levels.

They didn't have any refined sugar and had only a little natural sugar, but without proper hygiene, even if you eat well you can start to develop gum disease after 30-40 years.

No argument.

Medieval peasants ate good food and they didn't have to work nearly as much as modern wagies.

Semi true. You didn't have to work so much after harvest time was over, but you still had to do things like take care of livestock or do whatever work your landlord had for you. But when you worked, you worked HARD. I grow vegetables and herbs in some small garden plots, and some of my neighbors also raise poultry and rabbits, and even with modern weather forecasts, Internet tutorials, weed whackers and electric equipment, stainless steel tools, garden hoses, and mail-order seed catalogs it takes work.
