>it takes on average a decade of sustained economic growth for wages in a country to double
>40 years at least (best case scenario) for Brazil to catch up with first world, who by then will already have advanced to another level

Tell my why I shouldn't migrate outside this shit hole. Not only am I dooming myself by staying, my children will also be fucked for being born here

there is no national minimum wage here; because Ontario has around 40% of the population it sets a kind of defacto standard the other provinces compare their economy/cost of living to:

Ontario: 15 CAD/hr or 11.77 USD/hr
Newfoundland: 12.75 CAD (economy in shambles, land is basically free)
Alberta: 15 CAD (growth economy)
BC: 15.20 CAD (high cost of living)
Manitoba: 11.95 (economy in shambles, no-one wants to live here)

It does when the state line is California

13 in mine but soon to be 15

$4.8 before tax/social security, about $3.4 after.
Utterly unlivable if you have to rent.

I know Japan is literally third world but why do you work such long hours and willingly do free overtime when you get treated like shit?

Ours is kinda like this but a couple thousand more everywhere

wow Japan is only $2 difference between Tokyo and Okinawa lol

7.25 but no one works for that much unless they're like 14 and can't work anywhere else
I get paid 15 which is basically the standard minimum in my city now

But isn't that in a state where everything costs more anyways? Here it's 14$ CAD an hour but considering the inflation it's still not a liveable wage. 20$ an hour is what you need to pay rent and hope to at least save some money if you skimp on food and other expenses.

California is only expensive in Los Angeles county and the surrounding environs. Everywhere else is a lot cheaper

Ours is £9.18 (~$12.50) yanks only pay people $7.25?

I make 4-5x minimum wage here, if I moved to America my salary would be $150-200,000 and over 10x minimum wage.

I wish I was born in muttland. Teenagers can buy a car flipping burgers
