I'm pretty sure the intro theme turned a lot of people away from bothering to watch it. You don't know how many people I tried to show this to and they noped out when they saw the intro theme. They thought it was going to be annoying since the theme reminded them of shit like my gym partner's a monkey.

People really tend to forget that cartoons are allowed to be FUN and GOOFY for a change. Even then, WOY proved itself to be an emotionally rich series, as well. All the serialization diehards really missed out on some of the funniest and most heartwarming stories to come out of the 2010s.

Yeah it wasn’t the serialization diehards that killed it. It was the fact children weren’t interested in the show.
