I have never read Hellboy. I want to read Hellboy. Let us read Hellboy.
I know there is a Mignolaverse storytime going right now but I tried to read it. I just couldn't get into it, I need to read things properly in order to appreciate it chronologically. However, I don't want to step on that user's toes so this will be an incredibly casual storytime. I will post a thread and read it afterwards. When I have finished reading the thread I will make a new one. I know this won't be consistent but I'm doing this for me as I finally get into a corner of comics that has long since eluded me. You're in for a ride user. The first story isn't that good but it gets better. From Conqueror Worm it's all great, especially the short stories are fantastic. The main spin-off, BPRD, is also very much worth reading and practically becomes a main title next to Hellboy. All other spin-offs vary. Some are good, like Lobster Johnson, some are very bad, like basically everything from the last five years. Anyway just focus on Hellboy for now, and if you want more when you're done, there's enough material.
