Seeing a mix of digital animation shortcuts inbetween frame-by-frame animation is really jarring

The looney tunes show from 2011(?) is still a banger

Can't speak for anyone else, but I prefer envious Daffy, not wacky Daffy.
So i didn't much care for this show.

>unfunny
>looked like shit
it was a mistake to market to animation twitter that this would be a return to classic style. they should have marketed to kids first

>Zero new episodes since February
>Movie was put on indefinite hiatus
>Lack of promotion when new episodes drop
>Binge format

The lack of promotion on HBO Max’s part the Netflix model of no advertisement just does not work

they brought the gun back so nobody wants to talk about it anymore

Because it never leaves my mind that these shorts feel like an attempt to recapture the original shorts rather than do something new and put their own spin to them.

This. Literally the only reason why people talked about this show is because they took away Elmer and Sam's guns. As it turns out, most people don't actually give a shit about the Looney Tunes.

>no Tina
dropped

I honestly wish they did some cartoons with original characters. Not every classic Looney Tunes cartoon had popular characters like Bugs or Daffy.

This, did they just expect it to spread via word of mouth or something?

I'm fine with digital tweening/rigging. some of the best cartoons from the past 10 years have utilized it well (Wonderful World of Mickey, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, ect).

...but this shit's just awkward to look at.

Porky wouldn't act like that.

Because the hard truth is that the cartoons just aren't that good. Even with this clearly being a more expensive effort, the animation still doesn't even compare to the ones made in the late 50s. I feel like this show uses animation on ones in a really clumsy way compared to most WB shorts being animated on twos, which is just as effective for dialogue and interactions between characters. Ones are generally used for walk and run cycles or something major, like a character jumping from cliff to another.

Also, it's strangely less violence in some places, such as the lack of Elmer's gun or guns that turned people dark and ashy, while being more violent in all the wrong ways in other places (in one short, Tweety snaps off Sylvester's ribs inside of him and uses them to start a fire).

Just look at it. And realize it's the year 2022. Looney Tunes is a merchandising brand and children don't watch that crap anymore. So only retarded manchildren would have any interest in it.
