Rise did what I think every show revitalizing a prior subject matter should SOMETHING NEW. It tried, it created, it crafted. Did it connect? Maybe not as much as it could have, maybe part of that was not enough support, or opinions based on nothing but other people opinions.

Mirage. Everything was going great until the Cowabunga Pizza Turtle era began. Then it was all downhill.
The guest era had its gems, but pretty much everything else between RtNY and CaW was filler crap.

The only ones I find seem to be the same ones just renamed differently and the problem is that they're pretty bad scans
Also there was at one point a reading order torrent for IDW version up until issue 124 including all side stories, comics etc

The movie is my favorite adaptation, followed by 2012 then 2003.
I still have a fondness for '87 since it was my first, but, yeeeah, I really can't look back at it and say it was my favorite. 2003 did a lot right but still felt strangely stiff, and when they departed too much from just adapting the Mirage stuff there was a clear quality dip. And some of the Mirage stuff got adapted purely because they got it into their heads that they should adapt as much as possible, regardless of how much it made sense in the ongoing story they'd been telling.
I enjoyed the 2012 characters and thought it was a damn good effort to do something that "felt" like TMNT, without just adapting the comics beat for beat. Some stuff I would've done differently, but still my favorite of the toons.
I enjoy IDW and Archie too.
Rise has its fans. It wasn't my thing, but provided the show doesn't somehow get renewed, I've got no beef with them.
I saw one Bay movie. That was enough, thanks.
