How will AI generated art change the comic and cartoon industry?

These were generated by an AI.
Are we headed for good times, or bad?

Bad. AI will lead to the industrial production of art, which means the same bullshit but completely soulless and remixed a billion times.
Ever tasted a good steak? Ever tasted canned food? AI generated art is the canned food of the art world, and we're about to be flooded with it.
The porn will be kino, though.

Ehm what program was used?

Also booba.

But good steak would be prepared pretty much the same way all the time too.

They look like shit.

Is AI art the new boogeyman to the art community

>comic industry
Depends on how genuine the defence of Greg Land by the Marvel bullpen is. Either they'll embrace it to save a few bucks and go even harder for soulless conveyor belt production line, or they'll fight it tooth and nail to male sure their buddies are still getting paid.

I can work with this.

Eh but people sure seethe about it

The big issue I find with ai art is it can’t into pacing or structuring
Look at op pics, those are really pretty pictures.
Now imagine a series of panels using those pictures telling a story
Every actual ai comic I’ve read has just had pictures almost slideshow style, just put in any order.

Here’s a picture. Here’s another picture. Here’s another picture.
At this moment (cause obviously the tech might get better) it couldn’t make a comic like The Dark Knight Returns. You could tell it “make a scary looking Batman covered in blood as tall as he is wide,” and it could do that no problem. But it couldn’t make a page like this. This requires a subtlety ai art doesn’t have yet. The sequencing, the pacing, ai can’t replicate that
So, see if they improve or not. If they develop that kind of art, I could imagine human illustrators becoming a thing of the past. On the other hand, this kind of thing seems to require a human eye, and is very hard to teach or replicate

aww this makes me sad
Here's something that happened I can relate to
A few years ago I was working selling merch for a vendor at a big convention. Totally generic shit, keychains, shirts etc. but stuff that moved well
Beside me was a booth with a woman who used a manual silkscreen press to come up with all these cool shirt designs, they were really neat, but they didn't make nearly as many sales as my booth.
Your picture gives me the same kind of feels.

Many thanks, could be useful.

It’s pretty good at stills but sucks at consistency between panels and conveying motion. It’s still a ways off before any publisher worth their salt would give it a serious go over a regular illustrator.

>aww this makes me sad
Do not feel bad for the dragon, they have a twitter with *pronouns* and thus deserve homelessness.

Something like this; , pretty much the same analogy I would use.

I think is hard to grasp to some people because they only see in the short period of time, but this will fuck up things no different of how centralized internet did.

More worrisome of this will fuck up the industry is how it will fuck up the indie scene. If ever picks up instead of artists doing their thing and maybe getting popular and new and interest things being done by that small guy all it will be is a lot of scammers and people with an angle trying to make a quick buck from it, so the entire aspect of passion and desire to make something good enough to be monetized or even the artistic pursue will be drowned by thousands of losers with an angle and the indie scene of art will become what the industry is today, soulless and greedy, complete uniteresd in the craft and only there for the worse reasons normies can even come up with, so something like Youtube, but 30 times worse.

Is kinda lame, but inevitable in away at this point. I was checking redbubble a few days ago and there are already some people literally flooding entries with Ai stuff and DA too was pretty bad for a few days, but is kinda dying out now.
I don't expect this to happen now since the tech is just not there yet and the average normie really doesn't have the patience to go a week posting something somewhere without immediate feedback, but this tech will enable much worse things as time goes on. I kinda don't care as much anymore because my cope is that normies kinda deserve it so all the bad things this will bring are their own doing, I'm far too weird and detached to be affect that much.

Was this AI named Anna by chance?

now
>pay artist for furry porn
>have to wait a week or longer for delivery

then
>pay $10 an hour for access to ai artist
>tell it all the subhuman furry shit i want to see
>it just keeps printing high quality porn

Sexy but I’m on mobile and need to be on PC to inspect the quality closer.
I feel the same way there’s still high quality steak despite mass production of canned foods, art with human element will still be sought after. There’s problems of maybe being tougher to find due to ease of AI or maybe an artist will use AI and pretend to be original (as long as the style is consistent and doesn’t give away the hoax). Still, I’m also hopeful for the porn.

A weird thing I’m predicting is a rise in intentionally bad art. Like, flork of cows style ms paint doodles, cause ai is being trained to make really realistic art and/or to copy great art styles. I could imagine people doing this to separate the humans from the humain’ts

The prompts to generate the art are as follows:

alluring portrait of busty ice queen elsa, massive exposed breasts, intricate, full body, highly detailed, digital painting, artstation, concept art, naughty, sharp focus, cinematic lighting, illustration, art by artgerm and greg rutkowski, alphonse mucha, cgsociety

Elsafag reporting in, apparently AI has no taste because she's already perfect

she can be made better

How do I get this AI to draw things? Where is this AI

You're a petty little faggot

Being entirely honest this is no different from when photographs displaced artists who just did portratits, they'll find some way to remain, probably becoming more artsy fartsy in order to do so.

Yeah, lofi art also is something I can see happen. Ai can't really do pixel art that well I think, depends on the resolution so people would starting doing drawings on paint or other shitty softwares just to stand out as being human.

It is interesting from a point of view of how people will adapt but also kinda sad. Digital art was growing a lot, the drawing and quality we have today are absurd compared with what we had 10 years ago and mind breaking compared with what we had 20, if we have something that looks similar to what OP posted was because people learned and evolve and this will become harder with people afraid of being pladirigied by a machine or have to make art a side thing and not be able to put as much time as they could in to. I mean, do you remember how r34 looked and now we have world class artist doing porn of cartoons because is neat, i was curious to see were we would go from here, trying different and new things outside what we are sick and tired from today, so is kinda sad that the progress in the technical department is kinda being sabotaged by this sort of thing.

I don't think normies realize that so is pretty lame, but like I said, they kinda deserve it, so I'm also okay with it.

It's as if someone fell in love with Elsa so they attempted to make a clone army that failed miserably, or it's 2014 and every woman with blonde hair is going as Elsa for Halloween, regardless of their dietary and exercise habits or whether or not they were recently in a motorcycle wreck.

I'm just cutting to the chase. That's the real reason people here keep making these threads shilling for AI crap; because AI means they won't have to deal with artists having opinions they disagree wiith.
