Exactly. They were working for Norman fucking Osborne in the Ellis run for fucks sake. That at least propped things up and led to dramatic conflicts. It's highly doubtful the MCU will have anything to spice it up like that.
I get the feeling this is what most politicians want things to be like. They want to be treated like celebrities who got famous for existing, not like public servants who are ostenibly where they are to, y'know, serve the public.
