>Craptoon, Craptoons
>CRAPTOON, CRAPTOONS
Why does he type like that?
Was it autism?

It’s common with almost all forms of entertainment. How many times have you seen people complain about the lack of good movies while only talking about major blockbusters?
For cartoons specifically, a lot of the most commonly used tropes and styles become less tolerable as you grow older.

He's in the cartoon fandom with a username

He's singing a little song

Because it’s true. Cartoons have all been pozzed garbage since 2008. And even before that they’d been waning.

The people hired, from writers to cartoonists, aren’t hired for skill but for personality and identity.

>lack of good movies while only talking about major blockbusters?
American cinema hasn’t had a good year since 99 and before that you’d have to go back to the 70s for a good year in film.

One or two decent films a year doesn’t negate that.

the OG artists, even Gen Xers like Genndy and Craig are starting to feel their age.

They grow up but the shows don't as they're for children. Yet they cling onto them even though they're not for them anymore.

Yep. Shows get more predictable as you get older and start identifying tropes and frequently used plot points. As a kid, those obvious twists weren't obvious back then as you just simply weren't aware of them and weren't looking for them. They were new to you.

Most old stuff that has visibility has been shifted from it's countless mediocre to bad contemporaries, leaving only the great or at very least memorable stuff which stands the test of time.
You don't have to worry about garbage like Lower Decks and that Harley Quinn show being forced into relevancy simply fot being current. Good stuff is still made, but having to wait for the hits of today to compile in real time makes it seem like good shit happens less frequently when compared to the entire library of works behind us

He's mocking the Cartoon Cartoons title, which were the names of their original animated lineup if you recall.

They've outgrown the intended audience for cartoon shows. Simple as. Now they demand that cartoons keep them a child forever, which is an impossible ask.

Because people encounter cartoons in their childhood, so irrational nostalgia is the dominant emotion.

Because it's the universal truth of all media:

1. Old = good
2. Japan = better

France >>>> Japan

Old: Literally everything before now.
New: Just current stuff. (Which will be considered old soon enough)
Of course there's more good old shit.

Because... it's true?

Did this manchild wear a fedora while typing out, "CRAPTOON, CRAPTOON?"
