Why do people hate this movie? It's not even the worst Pixar movie considering that Cars 2 and Lightyear exist
Why do people hate this movie? It's not even the worst Pixar movie considering that Cars 2 and Lightyear exist
Bruh no one even remembers this movie came out, not even Pixar lol
The only movie I still like from this studio are the Incredibles. Most pixar movies have aged poorly
Lightyear came out like 4 months ago user. It was too new to be the Pixar black sheep. And Cars 2 is still part of the huge money-making Cars universe. The Good Dinosaur just kind of…sucks. No one wants yo or ever will return to these characters. Even for as meh as Lightyear is Buzz is still a very iconic character and so is the Toy Story franchise.
The world is empty, the plot is weak, numerous things don't make sense, and the dinosaurs themselves are limited by their designs.
It's a cute movie. I like it.
It's not necessarily a bad movie, people just held Pixar to a higher standard (excepting Cars shit). Boring concept, boring plot, boring designs, boring movie
It's just not worth the investment in neurons to remember it.
You could just remember something more worthwhile like where you left your keys last, or what you had for breakfast.
I personally don't get the hate this movie gets. I thought it was fine. But I guess that standard isn't what people want fron Pixar. I personally thought it was an interesting boy meets dog story with great environmental art. It has a message about facing fears head on. It's a somewhat flawed movie in some areas, but again I think people give it waaaay too mhch shit. It is nowhere NEAR bad as Cars 2 or Lightyear.

Who cares? That movie is actually insidiously bad. It's so bad it deserves to be down there in the Shit Tier pantheon alongside Cars 2.
Honestly I can't remember why I hate The Good Dinosaur because I honestly can't remember a thing about it after seeing it. I remember more about Cars 2 and I think that was the absolute worst Pixar had to offer but it was more memorable then TGD was and thats no word of a lie.
The ending makes no sense.
The most damning thing a piece of media can do is be unremarkable, unmemorable, forgettable. A horrible movie is at least memorable for how strong of an impression it left on you, albeit a negative one
I keep forgetting this came out on the same year as Inside Out. How did both movies end up being so wildly different in quality?
Cars 2 is good though.
>It's not even the worst Pixar movie considering that Cars 2 and Lightyear exist
Perhaps. I have not seen Lightyear nor Cars 2, BUT The Good Dinosaur is so painfully unoriginal that it's written on the foreground and backgrounds. LITERALLY.
All of the places they animated are based on real places, many in Yellowstone National Park in Montana. They copied a pre-existing story down the letter, only swapping dinos for humans and feral humans for dogs. They did not even have the decency to create their own settings or scenary.
THAT'S how fucking lazy it is. It was painfully underwhelming. It's not even cringe. It just commits the most cardinal sin of all entertainment: Be boring.
There is nothing redeemable about this film on its own merits. At least with Lightyear and Cars 2, they attempted (and might have failed) to be interesting while being original. This film cannot even claim THAT.
>They copied a pre-existing story down the letter, only swapping dinos for humans and feral humans for dogs
Which one? I just thought it was an Ice Age ripoff
Bump
>Call your movie The Good Dinosaur
>Is worse then the Disney movie just called Dinosaur.
Cars 2 is kino.
The movie was fine but not merchandizeable. They already had Dinosaur 2000 which was a mild success but waited too long and didn't follow the canon.
Will Peter Sohn redeem himself?
