the fundamental problem with CGI He-Man was the party structure. Adam, Duncan, Teela, and Cringer were all basically nice people that were fairly competent and didn't provide any conflict. To make it work they needed someone like Krass (brash and insulting), Ork-0 (a well-meaning fuckup dealing with a severe identity crisis), or Stratos (arrogant asshole). But for waaaaaay too much of the show, those guys weren't hanging with Adam and company. So you didn't have good conversations between the main characters. So it wasn't that entertaining to watch.
CGI He-Man MOTU
Imagine getting to have actual good art and wasting it on some M Night Shamalama twist.
The twist got overblown by the outrage seeking fans.
Savage He-Man was a bigger twist
WE WUZ KANGZ Kang Grayskull sucked
Savage He-man wasn't a twist. They announced the toy long before the 2nd part dropped.
He also sucked cause he was a whinny little bitch who didn't beat Skelegod (which he should have to prove that Adam is the true champion) and was just a dumber, weaker, not incredible Hulk.
His design was fine. As usual, the writing fucking sucked!
Did he? He was a nice King Grayskull based on the toyline that never did anything with him.
Oh well his character worked well enough, he was a magical negro type so you might as well consider it a victory for the white
Sorry I don't look at toys as much as other ones.
I got it was a lesson on "raw power doesn't mean you can fight".
Him beating Skelegod in that form would have been like if the sword had no use.
I rather have the sword playing a key factor more than hulk out.
Father and son hug was nice in all fairness
How? He was barely anything at all which is par for the course with King Grayskull.
I'd argue the Sword shouldn't have a use when it comes to Adam i.e. the chosen one. Note that in the 80's show, Adam had been training to be He-man ever since he was kid. Him being able to call the power without the Sword would have been a great show of his experience compared to Skeletor who just got the power a short time ago.
And yes, bad writing aside, the Father son hug was heartwarming.
>did he?
>how?
racechange garbage sucks by default. Get with the program.
I think that's the clash of my vision with yours.
Sword was a way to say "you're a warrior of Grayskull and this symbol of power weapon in your hands can do good" like a vigilante or a soldier for the just.
It was never explained anyway and it's considerable like SHAZAM. Billy should be able to turn into Big Red Cheese without a word but by simply thinking it but shouting something is just iconic.
>the Father son hug was heartwarming.
Yes!
I know, but now I just live with it, so if they want to make all the ancient people black do it, it implies whites came after for evolution and whatever
>thread gets derailed by She-Ma'am fanfiction
every time
>I know, but now I just live with it,
>he cucked
Wow. Good consoomer.
>Consoomer
I just pirate, it's just that blackwashing exists and as long as it's for token positive ancients is the lesser bad
Wanna talk about CGI show's She-Ma'am that got away with everything despite being an asshole that betrayed everyone for a deal with the devil that kept telling her how he was going to betray her?
>the fundamental problem with CGI He-Man was the party structure. Adam, Duncan, Teela, and Cringer were all basically nice people that were fairly competent and didn't provide any conflict.
I don't think there was anything wrong with having Cringer in the party just because he was kind and competent. He was the party dad and thereby got interesting interactions with Adam and Krasstine.
But it's hard to remember any of Teela or Duncan's interactions with each other or anyone else once Adam gets the sword early in S1. They really needed different personalities.
>He-Man ended a week ago
>People barely talked about it, would rather rehash old She-Ra and Revelations arguments
I mean... fair.
What's funny is how the show ended. Krass had grown up in a loving and nurturing environment for years. Cringer, Adam, and the rest of the Tiger Clan were awesome to her, made her part of the family. And she betrayed them to join up with Skeletor, who was NOT subtle in saying that he wanted to conquer the world and turn everyone into zombie slaves.
"Yeah, but you'll resurrect my dead birth-parents, right?" was her go-to response whenever he said how evil he was going to be. And in the end she turned on him when he revealed that lolno, he wasn't really going to resurrect them, what was she, stupid?
She was willing to let the world fall into ruin, never REALLY chose to side with the good guys instead (Skeletor chose for her), and the fandom just went "yeah but cute tomboy tho."
I loved Cringe relationship with the King, it was such a nice mutual
>We have his fathers
>Yes chad
I guess, but King Grayskull doesn't have much of a history to begin with. It's a strange choice to racebend, but it's insignificant.
Completely ignoring the effect that Havok had on her and her morals. It's called extenuating circumstances. After she got rid of the Havok, she reverted to normal. It's also not the first time that someone has listened to lies rather than the truth. Skeletor appeared to be telling the truth at first, and it's only after Havok took control that he really started to play things up more.
As it turns out a guy is going to be forgiving to his adoptive sister when parents are dead especially after getting corrupted by the same energy and knowing she had Skeletor in her head.
